Why Established Independent Introducers Are Looking for Plug-In Opportunities

For experienced investment introducers, the challenge is rarely access to investors; it’s finding opportunities that are credible, well-structured and easy to integrate into existing client relationships. That’s why more introducers are looking for plug-in opportunities – investment propositions they can introduce without having to build infrastructure, marketing or operational support from scratch.

That thinking inspired the ongoing growth strategy we’ve developed in partnership with SRA-regulated solicitors Harrington Sinclair Law. Alongside our work on brand positioning, digital infrastructure and investor collateral, we’ve focused on building a network of experienced independent introducers operating within strict compliance parameters to introduce international qualified investors to a specialised investment opportunity.

Sitting within litigation finance, the opportunity relates to ongoing activity surrounding the FCA car finance compensation scheme, an area that has generated significant market attention over the past 12 months. The opportunity is not marketed to UK retail investors and is intended solely for international investors who meet the relevant criteria.

A model designed for established independent introducers

We’ve developed this model specifically for introducers already operating in the international investment space. Rather than recruiting individuals who need to build credibility or relationships from the ground up, our goal is to partner with experienced introducers with established client books and active international investor networks.

Importantly, introducers are expected to operate within strict compliance and investor qualification guidelines. The model is designed specifically for introductions to qualified professional international investors based outside the UK, rather than for promotion to the wider public market.

TBC Director Mark Butcher explains: “The individuals we’re targeting already have their own network and client relationships. We’re not asking them to build a business from scratch. We’re giving them an additional opportunity – a plug-in – that they can introduce to qualified international investors within a clearly defined compliance framework.”

For experienced introducers, the model is designed to complement existing investor relationships rather than replace them. “And it’s attracting interest from introducers globally looking for access to short-term opportunities with clearly defined structures and transparent operational oversight,” Mark continues.

Supporting independent introducers with clear communication

Transparency is fundamental to the way we work at TBC – and this project is no exception. The partnership between TBC and Harrington Sinclair Law has been designed to provide clear operational visibility, straightforward communication and a structured onboarding process for both introducers and investors. This includes:

  • Clear, straightforward documentation for investors
  • Simple, jargon-free communications at every stage
  • FAQ and onboarding materials
  • Direct access to operational support
  • Clearly defined compliance, AML and investor qualification processes

Unsurprisingly, much of the friction typically associated with onboarding new introducers has been reduced, thanks to the clarity of the documentation and the overall structure of the proposition. As Mark puts it: “Many of the questions introducers would normally ask have been answered through the comprehensive documentation and onboarding materials. The focus has been on creating clarity and removing unnecessary complexity.”

Creating tailored documentation in response to introducer needs

Because many introducers already operate within the sector and have active investor relationships, the onboarding process can move relatively quickly. This means that they can integrate the opportunity into existing investor conversations efficiently.

What’s more, the strategy extends well beyond recruitment. To support long-term growth, introducers are guided through onboarding and provided with front-facing marketing collateral, lead generation support and access to the wider operational team.

Mark explains: “We also manage ‘noise’ through the responsive creation of tailored documentation, supporting both front-facing marketing communications and the efficient handling of back-end introducer queries. This ensures messaging remains relevant and commercially aligned.”

A different approach to investor growth

The wider objective is not simply to build a one-off introducer network around a single investment opportunity, but to create an ecosystem of carefully vetted partnerships and investment opportunities supported by due diligence, operational oversight and structured investor communications.

For experienced introducers, the appeal is clear: the ability to integrate high-quality opportunities into an existing investor network without rebuilding infrastructure from scratch.

Experienced independent introducer interested in exploring new opportunities?

We’re continuing to expand our network of experienced independent introducers with an international client base. If you already work with professional investors or eligible counterparties based outside the UK and operate within appropriate compliance standards, we’d be happy to arrange a confidential chat.

Following an initial discussion, suitable applicants are guided through onboarding, AML/KYC checks and introduction to the relevant partner opportunity.
